YOUTH EVENT ORGANISER – “WORD UP! 2011”
Can you organise events?
Do you have a natural rapport with 15-18 year olds?
Are you interested in music?
Corban Estate Arts Centre (CEAC) is looking for a motivated event organiser to organise Word Up! an event where young people (15-18 year olds) perform their original words and music; poetry, raps, songs, hip hop…
You will need to:-
Have some event management experience
Have good organisational skills, be methodical, follow through on actions and meet deadlines
Be a natural and clear communicator, with young people through to sponsors
Work well on your own and in a team environment
Have basic computer skills (email, word, excel); familiarity with facebook an advantage
The event will be held on Friday 26 August, and successful applicant will start by mid July. This is a contract position and weekly hours will vary.
