Pacific Dance NZ recently hosted a luncheon with the British Council (Natasha Beckman) and Deputy commissioners for the British High Commission to Samoa (Mr Robert Contractor) and Tonga (Ms Tracey Coleman) at our Grey Lynn offices.
The event was an opportunity for our Board and Staff to meet and introduce what Pacific Dance NZ does regionally and forge mutually beneficial relationships.
The Pacific themed luncheon was attended by Catherine George of Creative New Zealand and entertainment provided for by the young artists of Te Mana Performing Arts with Alipate Traill and choreographer and dancer Villa Junior Lemanu.
The UK has the Pacific Uplift which has seen three new British High Commission posts open in Samoa, Tonga and Vanuatu. Reaching out and connecting with Pacific communities and organisations is an element of the work that they administer.
Pacific Dance NZ looks forward to continuing the relationship.
